"Dutch artist Maruska Lebrun had the Bidiyah mosque, off Khor Fakkan, etched deep in her mind when she took a photograph of the old monument in December 1980. During her stay in the UAE over the years, Lebrun has painted the beautiful mosque in watercolour several times. But it was only last year she decided to do it in oil.
